Wow, what a busy year we have had this year, we have been fund-raisng non stop throughout the summer just to make ends meet. Just as we got there someone removed the other end and off we went again!
Due to the continuous battle to raise fund our hope and desire to open the farm has melted away for this year - as they say you can't do everything - sad but true.
We have however had some new additions to the farm in the way of ten little piglets
.
At 11pm one evening we recieved a call from one of the local vets to ask if we could help some piglets that had been born that day.
It appeared that the sow tried to kill them, she had already killed two and was on a rampage around the other tossing them.
The vet wanted to get them away as the sow had not settled and the piglets had not had time to feed.
So they arrived very hungry and looking for food, they tried to get food from our ankles and they squealed so much we thought they were going to wake the neighbourhood.
We finally got them satisfied by 3.30 am but we were still feeding at 6am! 10 piglets needing feeding every 30 minutes means you start one end and end up starting again before you have finished the other end! - FUN
Sadly we lost five and their names where Lord Timothy Scratchings, Lord Thomas Piddlepot, Bonnie Lord Gordon. Lady Ruth Gammon and Lady Bess Chop - RIP little ones
We have five surviving pigs who are running around without a care in the world and they will possible stay with us and their names are Lord Streaky Adam, Lord Danny Bacon, Lady Alison Cutlet, Lady Hazel Rasher and
